more showers in the sierra nevada, as well. very high bases and that's because we are seeing some warmer temperatures now. but that will change over the weekend. how about around the bay area today? we are looking at 50s and some 60s for highs. i think low 60s on the warm end. as we look out over the next couple of days, well, we are going to see those clouds continuing into friday with even a chance of a leftover sprinkle early on tomorrow morning. then i think we start to dry out a little bit catching a break from the stormy weather as we head in toward saturday and then on sunday chance of cold rain as the system drops into the bay area to bring some showers and then i think drier weather toward the middle of next week but yeah, best to just keep that umbrella just in case maybe a little wet from time to time over the next couple of days. >> the rain is okay. it warmed up this morning, at 4 a.m. it was 50. >> remember we were in the freeze temperatures not too long ago. >> thank you. >>> well, a simple thrift store has become a community

even up in the sierra nevada. a little cooler up there with highs in the 40s and 50s. around the bay 65 degrees in san jose. 63 in san mateo. a little cooler and breezy at the coastline into the 50s there. east bay numbers planning on mostly sunny skies, about 64 in pleasanton. 64 in the napa valley. and about 62 degrees in pleasant hill. inside the bay 64 degrees in oakland, should see 64 in santa rosa. and about 61 in san francisco. overnight lows will still be chilly in spots. 30s and 40s. the next couple of days we are in the sweet spot weather-wise lots of sunshine coming our way and temperatures warming up nicely. saturday and sunday, looks like more of a sea breeze kicking in, temperatures will cool counsel and then maybe we start to talk about showers as we head in toward the middle of the next week. all right, that's a look at weather. roberta gonzales is live with our mobile weather out at sfo where bad weather back east could cause some travel plans problems. >> reporter: we are here with mobile weather lab at sfo. take a loo

measurement of the snow in the sierra nevada and guess what! yup. 134% of normal. looking good so far. of course, that means nothing of in we completely dry out right now. but so far, so good. lots of snow, lots of water in the high sierra. we are dry though now in the bay area. well, those temperatures are getting cold in spots. 27 degrees right now in napa. 29 in concord. 28 degrees in santa rosa and 30 degrees in livermore. going to see widespread frost around the bay area again this morning. if you are heading out another cold start to the day. afternoon sunshine then the temperatures right around cease until for this time of year. changes by the weekend though. we could see a couple of showers move back in. but for today, high pressure holding on. starting to slide eastward now. we'll see a few high clouds from this weak system making its way into far northern california. other than that we are going to keep things nice and dry. around the state, maybe some showers toward the eureka area but nice and dry into the centra valley. 50s in fresno. 44 lake tahoe. 47 yosemite. 59 monter
